Jeanette Dugan, 94, of Evansville passed away Monday April 7, 2014 at VNA Charlier Center. She was born August 9, 1919 to Charles and Hazel (DeMoss) Dugan in Evansville.

Jeanette lived a full 94 years and was as tough as they come. Her mission in life was to help others by giving, volunteering and brought joy to so many. She retired from American General in 1982. She began her career in office work at Goodwill Industries. Her next position was as bookkeeper at B. F. Goodrich. In 1945 she assumed the duties of office manager and bookkeeper for Van Winkle Tire for 12 years. She joined Greene and Greene Insurance Co. as office manager in 1957. After 10 years in this position the office was divided and she became office manager in the Insurance Division of Credithrift. She served as ways and means chairman of Insurance Women . She served as the first treasurer of Indiana Diamond Chapter of A.B.W.A. and served on the ways and means committee and as chairman of the committee. Jeanette enjoyed traveling, and traveled 49 states and Canada. She was an avid bowler, enjoyed playing clabber, loved fishing and in 1963 she purchased the Cornfield Follies river camp where she enjoyed many years with family and friends. She attended Holy Trinity Church and member of Holy Rosary Church.

Jeanette was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Cecil and Charles Dugan; sisters, Anna Mae Hillenbrand and Hazel Wagner and good friend, Ethel Schubert.

She is survived by her sister, Betty Folz (Bob); nieces and nephews, Elizabeth Kemper (Roy), Buddy Dugan (Judy), Virginia Vanover, Mike Dugan (Vicky), Dennis Dugan, Carol Dugan, Sue Schmelz, Danny Hillenbrand (Janice), Jim Wagner (Mary Carolyn) and Cheri Sanders; 28 great nieces and nephews; 52 great great nieces and nephews and 17 great great great nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 3:00 - 8:00 pm Wednesday April 9, 2014 at Ziemer Funeral Home East Chapel, 800 S. Hebron Ave., Evansville, IN 47714 with a memorial service at 5:30 pm. Visitation will continue from 9:30 - 10:00 am Thursday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 1301 S Green River Rd., Evansville, IN 47715.

A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 am Thursday April 10, 2014 at the church.

Entombment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery.
