Anna Richardson Dennis, 90, of Richmond, passed away Monday, September 2, 2013, at Richmond Health & Rehab Complex-Kenwood, in Richmond.

She was born June 6, 1923, in Hamilton, Ohio, to Earl and Alice (Dozier) Richardson, both of whom preceded her in death, and she was the widow of Elmo Dennis.

Mrs. Dennis was a retired Westinghouse employee and a member of Flatwoods Christian Church in Waco. She supported American Red Cross blood drives and was very proud to be a donor.

She is survived by: one son, Billy Wayne Dennis and his wife, Virginia Burns Dennis; and her daughter, Margaret Dennis Sowder, both of Richmond; three grandchildren, Terri Dennis Morsink and her husband, Andy; Christina Sowder O'Donnell and husband, David E.; and John A. Dennis and his wife, Erica E.; eight great-grandchildren, Staci Dennis, Faith Dennis, Sami Morsink, Sydney Morsink, Tanner Morsink, Mark O'Donnell, Anna O'Donnell, and Shelia Bray; one sister-in-law, Edith Richardson; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one son, Raymond Jack Dennis; her son-in-law, William R. "Bud" Sowder Jr.; three sisters, Sie Richardson, Rosie Cain and Odell Horn; five brothers, Jim Canter, Jimmy Richardson, Virgil Richardson, Floyd Richardson and Bill Horn.

Services will be conducted 1 p.m. Thursday, September 5, 2013, at Oldham, Roberts & Powell Funeral Home with Tim Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Flatwoods Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Earl Campbell, A.J. McDonald, Mose Bush Hill, Andy Morsink, David O'Donnell, Kenny Dennis and Bobby Ray Dennis.

Honorary pallbearers will be Terri Morsink, Christina O'Donnell, John Dennis, Tib Congleton, Harry & Betty Bush, Kenneth Horn and Eddie Canter.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time Thursday at the funeral home.
