Rebecca Bowers, 75, of Hugh Miller Road, died Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2013, at Forsyth Medical in Winston-Salem.
A funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Davidson Funeral Home by the Rev. Thomas Todd. Burial will follow in Hedrick's Grove United Church of Christ.
Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home and at other times at the home.
Mrs. Bowers was born June 7, 1938, in Davidson County to Melvin Robert Lovell and Georgia Little Lovell. She was a homemaker and attended Hedrick's Grove United Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Richard Bowers; son Kimbal Bowers; and her parents.
Surviving are two sons, Marty Bowers and Darren Bowers and wife Leigh, all of Lexington; two sisters, Joretta Trantham and Brenda Hege and husband William, both of Lexington; one grandchild, Eli Bowers; and three stepgrandchildren, Taylor Clark, Lauren Clark and Ethan Clark; and numerous nieces and nephews; and a special dog friend, Chelsa.
