Leorna H. King, 91, of 671 State Route 314, Mansfield, died Monday, December 22, 2003 at home, after a six month serious illness.

Born November 25, 1912 in Galion, she was the daughter of the late R. Lloyd Muth and Cleo (Ricker) Muth. She was preceded in death by husband, Paul W. King, March 29, 1995. They were married July 5, 1937. She was adopted and raised by her mother's cousin Helen A. (Ricker) Hulse and her husband, Harold Hulse, who preceded her in death.

She was a graduate of Galion High School. She is a member of Ontario United Methodist Church and the Masque Club, a group of Galion High School friends who met for Bridge until all were in their 80's. She worked as a beautician in Galion and Mansfield for over 50 years.

Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Tom Gillum, of Mansfield; a son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Ted and Christine King, of Hamden, Mass. and six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her two sisters, Thelma Zimmerman and Delores Muth.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 3, 2004 at Ontario United Methodist Church with Rev. Jim Winkler and Dr. Clair Hess officiating. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery.
