Charles Johnson, 72, passed away Tuesday at the Lutheran hospital in Moline where he had been a patient... Burial will be in the Erie cemetery. Mr. Johnson was born in Sweden October 14, 1865 and at the age of three years came to America with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Johnson. The family located first in Moline, later moving to farms near Hillsdale and purchasing the farm four miles southwest of Erie 60 years ago, where Mr. Johnson still resided when stricken with his fatal illness. He was unmarried. Surviving are one sister, Mrs. Ida Quade, of Erie and several nieces and nephews. His parents and a brother preceded him in death several years and a sister died in infancy.
