David Nelson Kilburn, #5101464, was the son of Abigail "Abba" Billings (1803-1891) and Cyrus Kilburn (1800-1882). He was born in Lunenurg, Worcester Co., Massachusetts, in September 7, 1837, died in Seattle, King Co., Washington, May 18, 1907.

He enlisted in Co. H, 23rd Regiment, Massachusetts Volunteer Infantry, in August 1862 and served as a Private for 2 years and 2 months until discharged in October 1864.

David Nelson Kilburn married first in Groton, MA, April 21, 1860, Ellen Augusta Stahl, #84225780, daughter of Naomi Bindley & George Williams Stahl. Ellen was born in Taunton, MA, ca 1840, d. ca 1877-1880.
