Funeral services were 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 11, at Zion American Lutheran Church in Wyoming. Burial was in the Wyoming Cemetery, Wyoming, Iowa.
Wilhelmine Margaretha Ehler was born January 29, 1888, in Hinrichsdorf, Island of Fehmarn, Schleswig-Holstein, Germany, the daughter of Nicolaus and Gertrude (Harmsen) Ehler. She received her education in the German schools. She immigrated to the United States with her two brothers, Nicolas and Willie Ehler in 1910 and settled in Jones County. She used the name Minnie during her lifetime. She married George Frederick Luckstead on September 23, 1914, in Wyoming. Together they farmed southeast of Wyoming, until they retired and moved to Wyoming in 1939. George preceded her in death on April 22, 1964.
Surviving are one son, Freddie (Velda) Luckstead of Wyoming; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one brother, Willie Ehler, of Boscobel, WI; and one sister-in-law, Matilda Ehler of Monticello.
She was preceded in death by her husband, one son in infancy and one brother, Nicolas Ehler. Her parents, one brother, Franz Ehler and four sisters, Agnes Ehler, Wilhelmine Ehler, Lucinda Krohn and Wilhelmine Ehler, all died earlier in Germany.
