Blue Earth Eleanor "Ele" Franklin, age 93, of Blue Earth, died Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2013, at St. Luke's Lutheran Care Center, Blue Earth. Funeral Services were held on Sept. 7, 2013, at 11 a.m. at St. Luke's Lutheran Care Center in Blue Earth. Kathy Blair officiated. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery, Blue?Earth. Patton Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Blue Earth assisted the family with the arrangements. Eleanor was born Jan. 11, 1920, in Blue Earth, the daughter of Henry and Henrietta (Beidl) Jamieson. She was raised in Faribault County where she graduated from Blue Earth High School. She attended Mankato Business College and worked for various businesses in the area before becoming a deputy clerk of court at the Faribault County Courthouse in 1960. Eleanor was married to Herman Rode and later to Roscoe Smith and then to Fredric "Fritz" Franklin. She retired from the courthouse in 1990. Eleanor was very proud of her Scottish heritage and enjoyed fishing, bowling, crocheting, and knitting. She also enjoyed fishing and snowmobiling at her lake home in Hackensack.
