DAVY — Ada Sue McClaskey, age 66, of the Davy/Asco area, went to be with the Lord Friday night, August 30, 2013, at the Carilion New River Valley Medical Center in Radford, Va. after a long illness. Born December 30, 1946 in Asco, W.Va. she was the daughter of the late Druey Mitchem and Lena Mullins Mitchem. She was affiliated with the Methodist faith, She was a former CNA, and a homemaker. She was a loving mother and grandmother, was a resident of the Davy/Asco area most of her life. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Larry Sherman McClaskey, 1 sister Etta Limbaugh, and 1 brother Deb Mitchem.
She leaves to cherish her memory: 3 sons Druey McClaskey of Pulaski, Va., Larry Sherman McClaskey II of Vivian, W.Va., Steven Michael McClaskey and wife Lori of Pulaski, Va.; 3 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, September 4, 2013, at 2:00 P.M. at the Widener Funeral Home Chapel, Northfork, W.Va. with the Rev. Dan Pruitt officiating. Burial will follow at the Justice Cemetery, Asco, W.Va. Friends may call Wednesday at the Widener Funeral Home Chapel, Northfork, from 12:00 Noon until the hour of service. Serving as pallbearers will be family and friends.
