Funeral services for George W. McCrary 88 were held at 2 PM Monday at the Methodist Church in Pecan Gap with the pastor, Rev. J.B. Hibbert, and Rev. A. R. Morgan of Leonard in charge. Burial was made in the Pecan Gap Cemetary by Wilson's Funeral Home of Leonard. Mr. McCrary died May 31. He was born in Hartselle, Alabama, Feb 15, 1865, and was former resident of Pecan Gap. Survivors include his wife, five daughters, Mrs. Emma Cummings, Dallas, Mrs. Mae Grounds, Leonard, Mrs. Ethel Garrett, Hurst, Mrs. Clayton McKinney, Honey Grove, and Mrs. Mary Ozment, Tonkowa, Oklahoma: three sons, A.E. Mccrary, Leonard, Conried McCrary and Alvis McCrary of Dallas, 21 grandchildren & 26 great grandchildren. Pallbearers were Olen Grounds, Hoyt Houston, Donald McCrary, Bobby Joe Cummings and Kenneth Garrett.
