She married James Henry Baker on May 20, 1866 in Tippah County, Mississippi. In 1870 Sarah and James were living in Rusk County, Texas. Sarah had five known children; Jesse, Sarah Ann, Joseph, William, and Daisy. The family was living in Anderson County, Texas in 1880. There is no record of Sarah after the 1880 census. She had to have passed away before 1891, because her husband remarried that year.
