Born in Rockford, Ill., she was the daughter of the late Hedvig and Walfred Swanson. She had been a Trumbull resident since 1948 and lived in the home her beloved late husband, Walter Anderson, designed and built.
A Central High School and Butler Business School graduate, Vivian held secretarial positions in the Trumbull High School library and the Trumbull Purchasing Department.
Survivors include her beloved family, a daughter, Susan Powley and her husband, Scott, of Bridgeport; a son, James Anderson of Clinton, Wash.; two brothers, Donald Swanson and his wife, Eleanor, of Farmington, and Glen Swanson and his wife, Annagreta, of Peterboro, N.H. Vivian also leaves behind her loving grandchildren, Jonathan and Kristin Powley of Bridgeport, and Ethan and Jonas Anderson of Langley, Wash. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and their children.
Interment in Long Hill Burial Grounds (a.k.a. Long Hill Cemetery).
