Ray Elvin Stinnett age 70 of Sevierville, TN. went home to be with his Heavenly Father at his residence on January 23, 2011.

Ray was a member and Deacon of Conner Heights Baptist Church.

Ray worked for Sevier County Farmers Co-Op for 17 years, was owner and operator of Ray's Small Engine Repair Shop Ridge Road, Ray's Market and Grill and currently Mountain Valley Motel in Wears Valley.

Ray was preceded in death by parents, Estell Lee and Lola Whaley Stinnett, sister, Betty Hurst and daughter, Claudette Stinnett.

Survivors include his loving wife, Ruth Huskey Stinnett of Sevierville; daughter and son-in-law, Teresa and Jonathan Hatcher of Sevierville; sons and daughters-in-laws, Randy and Lisa Stinnett of Sevierville; Kevin and Jessica Stinnett of Seymour; brothers and sisters-in-law, Leon and Jo Stinnett of Sevierville; Shirrell Stinnett of Sevierville; Harold and Jeanette Stinnett of Sevierville and Dale and Carolyn Stinnett of Sevierville; 5 grandchildren and spouses, Heather and Daniel Hatcher, Justin and Tiffany Stinnett; Malinda and Andrew Wilson and Mason Stinnett; several nieces and nephews, special golfing buddies and a host of friends.

The family would like to say a special thank you for the care and love shown to Ray and the family by Apria of Jefferson County, Amedisys Hospice and the nurses at Mercy West Hospital in Knoxville.

Services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 26, 2011 at Rawlings Funeral Home in Sevierville with Rev, Jonathan Hatcher and Rev. Sam Justice officiating.

Interment will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, January 27 2011 in Headrick Cemetery.

The Family will receive friends 5:00-7:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 26, 2011 prior to the service at Rawlings.
