Peter Muench did not tell about fall at the time... Blood poisoning which developed from a bruise suffered on one of his legs in a fall some months ago, caused the death of Peter Muench, 71 years old, who passed away at his home, 514 North Spring Street, Monday morning. Muench did not tell members of his family about his injuries until a week ago Sunday, just after he returned home from a trip uptown. Two days prior to his death he was stricken with paralysis and was unconscious when he died.

He was born in Germany, July 14, 1834, and was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Muench. His wife, Mrs. Balbina Villinger Muench to whom he was married in Belleville, November 22, 1860, died 11 years ago.

Two sons and one daughter survive:

John Muench, Chicago
Herman Muench, Belleville
Mrs. Mary Wittauer, Belleville

He also leaves a sister, Mrs. Margaret Metzger, in Winchester, Ill.

The funeral will be Wednesday morning at 8:15 o'clock to St. Luke's Church, then to Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
