MILLPORT, Ala. —Rosa Evelyn Porter, 90, died Sept. 1, 2013, at Windsor Place. Services are Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Dowdle Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Millport City Cemetery. Visitation is one hour prior to services.
Ms. Porter was born Jan. 4, 1923, to the late John W. and Stella Merchant Hollis. She was a member of Millport Church of Christ.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepmother, Verla Hollis; and brothers, Dempsey Hollis, Bilbo Hollis, L.J. Hollis and Michael Hollis.
Survivors include her sisters, Ruth Bostick and Barbara Humbers; and brothers, J.W. Hollis and Jerry Hollis.
