Ruth V. Cassidy Groves, 87, of the Inn at Orchard Park passed away on Saturday at 2:15 am.
She was born May 10, 1926 in Wyandot County Ohio to late Benjamin and Ruth (Clark) Adams.
On May 20, 1943 she married Harry C. Cassidy; he preceded her in death on February 9, 1977.
On July 6, 1984 she married James H. Groves; he preceded her in death on August 7, 2003.
Ruth is survived by her children, James H. Cassidy of Sycamore, Harry C. (Nancy) Cassidy Jr. of Chatfield, Joseph A. (Lisa) Cassidy of Crestline, and Daniel W. Cassidy of Bucyrus. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Allen, Kathy, Chris, Tyler, Jamie, and Angel; numerous great grandchildren; her sisters, Bert Adams of Upper Sandusky, and Marie (William) Adams of Nevada; and her step children.
She is preceded in death by her daughter, Patricia Ann (Cassidy) Kirby; infant daughter, Doris Irene; granddaughter, Kristy; her brothers, Ithiel, Willard, John, Wilbur, and Earl; and her sisters, Winifred Edgington, and Wanda Blakeslee.
Ruth worked for Vasils for 14 years and two years at BAJA Boats, she did alterations for friends in her home and enjoyed making stuffed animals for the grandchildren. She has been a member of the Kaler Ave. Church of Christ of Christian Union since 1949.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday at 11 am in the Crawford County Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services.
