OBITUARY. George W. Surguy, the subject of this obituary, was the son of William and Rachel Surguy, who emigrated to this country from England. George W. Surguy was born in the state of Ohio, April 29, 1833. Was married to his first wife, Harriet Robbins, October 1858,, who died the 10th day of January, 1880. Was married to Jane M. Kidd, April 3, 1881, by whom he had three children,, one dying in infancy. He departed this life March 28, 1894, aged 62 years and 11 months. His funeral was largely attended on Sabbath the 1st day of April, 1894, showing the esteem of all who knew him. Funeral sermon by Elder S. McNeely, of Tiosa, at the house at 10 o'clock, after which his remains were laid to rest in the Sand Hill cemetery to await the general resurrection. May peace, mercy and truth abide with those who are left to mourn his departure, and may they look forward to the time when there shall be no more death nor tears nor parting. S. McNeely.
