A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cut Off for Amy Collins Dantin, 77, a native of Golden Meadow and resident of Cut Off, who died at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 22, 1997.

Visitation will be 2 to 10 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m. to funeral time Saturday at Falgout Funeral Home in Galliano.

Burial will be in the church cemetery.

She was the mother of Gerald, James and Nelson "Smokey" Dantin Jr., Ray Ella Angelette, Genevieve Artigue and Geraldine Fournier; sister of Virgus C. Boudreaux, Delta C. Bryant, Katie C. Cheramie, Leona C. Duet, Leonise C. Smith, Annie C. Zeringue and Margie M. Collins. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren, six step-grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and nine step-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Nelson Dantin Sr.; parents, Leonise Encalade and Aramise Collins; a sister, Ruth C. Christin LeBlanc; and three brothers, Paurice, Juan and Roger J. Collins.

Falgout Funeral Home of Galliano is in charge of arrangements.
