Theodore E. Fox, 79, of Snohomish, WA, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on February 24, 2004.
Ted was born January 3, 1925 in Harlowton, MT to Rudolph and Clara Fox. He moved to Bremerton, WA at age 7 living there until he enlisted in the Navy at 17. He served as an aviation machinist during World War II, receiving four medals. After military service he served an apprenticeship in the boat shop of the Bremerton Naval Shipyard. After that he became a carpenter and worked in heavy construction.
Ted was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather who enjoyed his family, hunting, fishing, flying, participation in the Eagles, Legion, and Carpenters Union. He was a member of the Lutheran church.
He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Ila Elaine Fox; son Wayne (Nancy) Fox of Snohomish, WA; daughters, Cathy (Toney) Robinson of Auburn, WA, Diane Corner of Kirkland, WA, Linda Ronning of Hilo, HI, and Bev Lowry of Snohomish, WA; 13 grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, March 7th at 12:00noon at Horseshoe Grange, 16428 Broadway, Snohomish, WA.
The family wishes to thank the Clearview Fire Department and Team B of The Snohomish County Hospice. In lieu of flowers and donations, the family requests memorials be given to those organizations.
Arrangements are being made by Purdy & Walters at Floral Hills, 409 Filbert Road, Lynnwood, WA 98036.
