Anthony M. Mondello, 55, of Pen Argyl died Friday, Feb. 19, in an explosion with his son, Paul F., at Concept Sciences Inc., Hanover Township, Lehigh County, where he was employed. He was the husband of Joanne C. (Comunale) Mondello. They were married for 31 years last June. He attended Northampton Community College and Pennsylvania State University. Born in Easton, he was a son of the late Fred and Maria (Maio) Mondello. He was a member of St. Elizabeth's Catholic Church, Pen Argyl. He was an Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War. A Cub Scout leader in Pen Argyl, he was also a past president of the Blue Mountain Little League, baseball coach for the Blue Mountain Babe Ruth League and football coach for the Green and White Association, Pen Argyl. He was a retired member of the Lookout Fire Company, Pen Argyl. Survivors: Wife; daughters, Renee Albanese and Jessica, and a son, Anthony Jr., all of Pen Argyl; brother, Sal in New Jersey; sisters, Regina DeHart of Wind Gap and Rosalie of Pen Argyl, five grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
