He was a soldier in the French and Indian War. He came home, claiming that his term of service was up, stoutly resisted arrest, was tied to his horse and taken to Springfield, Mass., where he died from rough handling in 1758. His widow and son James appointed administrators
His widow and son James were appointed administrators on his estate, appraised at f497 14s 6d. She died. December 1, 1794, at Dudley, age 94. Both were buried at Dudley."

Laban, by wife fanny Howe, of Sturbridge, was father of Inspector-General Randolph B. Marcy, whose daughter married Major-General George B. McClellan....
James Corbin, b. Feb 24, 1702, married 19 Jun 1728 Susanna Bacon. He was a prominent citizen of Dudley, mass. His oldest son, James Corbin, born in Dudley 18 Jan, 1736, married April 18, 1761, Anne Tucker, born in Charlton, mass., April 11, 1740. She died in Newport, NH on her birthday, April 11 1813.
