Clarence Williard Elliott, Sr., 90, died on August 24, 2011. Mr. Elliott was the son of the late Elmore and Vera Cullahan Elliott. He was born on August 22, 1920 in Whiteville, NC. Mr. Elliott was a veteran of the United States Army. He served in Normandy during WWII. He later worked as an inspector for Chesapeake Rail Road. Mr. Elliott was married to the late Louise Neese Elliott. He was a member of the Covington Church of God.
Mr. Elliott is survived by three children, Clarence Elliott, Jr. & Martha, Sandra Smith and Bill Elliott & Betty. He also leaves numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6 until 8 pm at A.E. Carter Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held on Friday at 1 pm at the Covington Church of God.
