Marty Ray Carroll, 51, passed away Aug. 1 in Madras of natural causes.

Marty was born June 8, 1962, in Burns to Donald R. Carroll and Arleen Black. He graduated from high school in Prineville in 1980.

Soon after he graduated from high school, he joined the United States Army, and was honorably discharged.

He is survived by his mother, Arleen Black, of Prineville; sisters, Georgeann Carroll, of Madras, and Correnna Armstrong, of Clackamas; niece, Tasha Relatos, of Siletz; one great-niece; two nephews; and numerous aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his father; and grandparents, Lorene Carroll, Mathew Krehetsky and Bonnie Buckingham.

A graveside service and burial were held Aug. 19 at the Burns Cemetery.
