Dorothy M. Satterla, 92 of Clinton, passed away peacefully in her sleep on September 1st, 2013 in Cadillac, MI.

She was born on April 19th, 1921 in Detroit, to Rudolph and Dorothy (Stevens) Bettinger. Dorothy married Frank Satterla on May 25th, 1950 and he preceded her in death on June 3rd, 1987.

Dorothy was a member of the Methodist Church in Clinton. She held a vast array of jobs including many years as a beautician out of her home, a long time janitor for Clinton Schools and she retired from Ypsilanti State Hospital.

She liked to play bingo, do crosswords and read. She also loved to play cards and spend time with her family.

Dorothy is survived by her daughter Karen (Jeff) Grinnell of Cadillac, MI and her grandchildren Erin, Jesse (Meg) Grinnell and Jamie (Greg) Winkelmann. In addition to her husband, Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, September 4, 2013 at the Clinton Chapel of Handler Funeral Homes.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 Noon until the time of services. Interment will follow at Macon Cemetery.
