A funeral for Mabel Irene Nicholls, a longtime Estacada resident, will be 1 p.m. Monday in Estacada Funeral Chapel with interment in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
Mrs. Nicholls died Friday in an Oregon City hospital of causes related to age. She was 91.
She was born on March 4, 1900, in Condon. Her maiden name was May. She worked most of her life as a seamstress, and had made the uniforms for the Estacada High School Rangerettes and the Safari Club. She was a member of the Estacada Rebekah Centennial Lodge 147.
She is survived by daughters, Winifred Hughes of Estacada; Margaret Smith of Portland, Bernice Eichner of Vancouver, Wash., Jeanne Bailey of Fairbanks, Alaska, Mary Lou Ephlin and Connie Sacht, both of Estacada; son, Bill of Ryderwood, Wash.; brother, John L. May of The Dalles; sister, Gertrude Parker of Portland; 26 grandchildren; 54 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
