Lt. Col., remained a Loyalist during the American Revolution; was a member of the Little River Regiment, Ninety-Six Brigade.

Left Charleston, SC with the Loyalist troops when the British evacuated the city on 14 Dec 1782.

Thomas is reported to have married Martha Jones in Florida. He received a British land grant and removed to Rawdon, Nova Scotia, later settling in Truro, NS, where he later died.
