Elmer C. Lyons, 73, Bemidji, died Saturday at his home. Funeral services were at Olson-Schwartz Funeral Home. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery.
He was born June 19, 1913, at Bemidji, the son of Nels and Elizabeth Lyons. He grew up and attended school in Bemidji and was a Bemidji police officer, had a grocery-confection store (St. John's Store), was a buttermaker, and, for 19 years, a press operator at Nu-Ply. He married Edith L. Hanson April 28, 1938, at Bemidji.
He is survived by his wife; a brother, Nels of Bemidji; a sister, Anna Irene Lyons of Bemidji.
