Olive Marie Anderson, daughter of Jasper and Jane Johnson, was born September 1, 1906 at Coldwater, Kansas. When she was a small child, the parents moved to Brewster, Nebraska where she attended grade school and attended high school at Dunning. May 19, 1928 she was united in marriage to Oscar Anderson. To this union, six children were born. They made their home on a ranch near Dunning for 16 years. During the year of 1947 they moved to Mitchell where they lived for six years, moving to Scottsbluff in June of last year. At the time of her death she had respectively reached the age of 47 years, four months, and seven days. She accepted Christ as her Savior when a young girl and has been a faithful worker in the Assembly of God Church. She leaves to mourn her passing, her husband, four daughters and two sons. Euvonne Anderson, Mrs. Darrell Reed of Scottsbluff, Mrs. John McIntosh, Brush, Colorado, Iona, Don and Eldon at home. One grandchild, her father and stepmother, Mr. and Mrs. Jasper Johnson, Broken Bow, Nebraska; four sisters, Mrs. Lyle Van Wormer, Broken Bow; Mrs. Tom McCormick, Dunning, Dorothy and Doris Johnson, Grand Island, Nebraska; three brothers, Lester Johnson, Douglas, Wyoming; Captain Gilmore Johnson, Atlanta, Georgia; Lloyd Johnson, Ontario, Oregon, and a host of relatives and friends. Funeral services for Olive Marie Anderson were held at the Assembly of God Church in Scottsbluff, Nebraska, Monday, January 11, at 2 PM. The service was conducted by Rev. M.F. Brandt, pastor of the Assembly of God Church and assisted by Rev. Robert Paul, pastor of the Assembly of God Church at Mitchell. Interment was made in the Fairview Cemetery. Pallbearers were Solon Bartlett, Lou Bartlett, Alex Klaus, Henry Rein, Jess Gorsuch, and Reuben Hamberger. Burial was under direction of the Reed Funeral Home.
