Wilma M. Gallagher died at her home west of Montevideo, Minn., Sunday afternoon, May 1st. She was born at Grundy Center, la., July 24, 1899 and was at the time of her death 21 years, 9 months and 7 days. When four years old she came to Montevideo with her parents, and at the age of 11 years she joined the M. E. church, of that place. In 1916 she graduated from the Montevideo high school, and from Hamline university and the St. Paul Musical Academy in June, 1920.
She leaves to mourn her loss, her devoted parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. I. Gallagher; five married sisters, Mrs. George E. Feltus, of Allison, Iowa; Mrs. O. M. Olson, of Moorhead; Mrs. F. J. Handeen and Mrs. H. A. Lien, of Montevideo, and Mrs. J. M. Cavanaugh, of St. Paul; two sisters at home, Dorothy and Hazel, and brother, Royal.
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon from the M. E. church at Montevideo, Rev. J. S. Kettlewell officiating. Prof. T. P. Byers of Hamline university was there for the services and spoke in behalf of the faculty and students at the university.
Miss Gallagher was a niece of Mrs. Harvey Crouse and Mrs. Simon Bockes, both living south of town.
