OBITUARY - published in Monroe Commercial on Thursday, 25 June 1868 Provided courtesy of Monroe County Museum

"Died - In LaSalle, on the 13th inst, EXPERIENCE S., wife of Isaac Hall, Esq., aged 67 years.Mrs. Hall was born in Massachusetts, on the 26th of May, 1801, and was married to the husband who survives her, in Livingston Co., N.Y., on the 3rd of October 1824 and leaves behind her two sons and three daughters, with her husband, to mourn her loss. The family of Mrs. Hall immigrated to Michigan at a early day and are among the oldest settlers of Lasalle, having settled here some 37 years ago. Her life has been one of intense suffering, such few are called upon to endure, which she was called to bear with resignation and patience, and we trust has exchanged the sufferings and cross for the crown and the glory. May her loss to her family and friends prove to them a message of mercy.Lasalle, June 22."

NOTE: The middle initial "S" probably stands for Spaford, her maiden name.
