ARCHDALE - Mr. James Walter Bullington, 86, died Monday, February 11, 2008, at the GrayBrier Nursing and Retirement Center. A native of Surry County, he was born on January 15, 1922, a son to John and Nonnie Chilton Bullington. He was a member of Abbotts Creek Primitive Baptist Church and was employed as a printer with Sobar and L& E Printing. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter Jean James in 1980.
James is survived by his loving and caring wife, Margaret White Bullington of Archdale, his children, Roger Bullington and his wife, Jenny of Zepher Hills, FL, Diana Lovette and her husband Sarge of Indian Trail, Phyllis Asbill and her husband Dahl of Archdale, Larry Wicker and his wife, Wanda of Trinity and Vernon Wicker and his wife Sylvia of Stallings, eight grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Cumby Family Funeral Service in Archdale with Rev. Butch Osborne officiating. Entombment will follow in Guilford Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will receive friends and relatives one hour prior to service at the funeral home.
