LAGRANGEVILLE - Rosemarie West, 90, formerly of LaGrangeville, died peacefully on May 17, 2005 at the Bey Lea Nursing Home in Toms River, NJ. She was born on December 31, 1914 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Ralph and Anna Cassiani Merolli. An active community volunteer, Rosemarie was head of the St. Francis Hospital Auxiliary Volunteers and served as President of the LaGrange Women's Republican Club. She was also an accomplished artist and painted Congressman Hamilton Fish, Jr's portrait, which she presented to him. She was predecased by her husband William A. West in 1988. She is survived by her three children, Patricia of Toms River, NJ; Diana of Alpharetta, GA; and Peter of Las Vegas, NV. Other survivors include 4 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great granddaughter. Funeral Services will be held this morning at 11:00 a.m. at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. Interment will follow at St. Denis Cemetery in Hopewell Junction.
