Joyce Knivila
Joyce Greenway was born in Boonville, California, on January 24, 1927, the second of three daughters, to Edward and Ruby Farrer Knivila. Joyce passed on August 23, 2013, in Roseville due to complications from a major stroke and fall.

Joyce Greenway was predeceased by her parents, son William 'Billy' Greenway, sister Jeannette Steams, and sister Edwina Knivila. Joyce is survived by son Greg (Elena Nilsson) Greenway of Chico; and daughter Wendy (Jim) Fujitani of Roseville, and granddaughters Rachel Greenway and Shelby Fujitani. Joyce is also survived by her favorite cousin, Barbara (Lowell) Jennings of Pacifica.

Joyce grew up in Boonville, Mendocino County, where her parents farmed and her father was also employed in the redwood timber industry. Joyce graduated from Anderson Valley High School and attended Santa Rosaa Junior College. She was twice divorced, and settled in Roseville where she was a single parent and raised her three children to adulthood. Joyce was an avid reader. She loved to cook, garden, and provide a loving home to rescued animals. Joyce was employed at the Roseville Telephone Company, from which she retired after 30 years. Joyce moved to Lincoln in 1986, where she resided until her passing. She will be sadly missed by family and close friends.

No services will be held in accordance with Joyce's wishes. Her remains are being handled by Lambert's Funeral Home in Roseville, to be cremated and eventually be inurned in the Evergreen Cemetery in Boonville, CA at a later time.
