Born in Lee County, he was a son of the late George C. Brown and the late Lula Beasley Brown. He was a member of Crosswell Baptist Church and the Steadfast Sunday School Class. Mr. Brown was retired from the U.S. Postal Service after more than 40 years and was a member of the NALC Branch 904. He was well-known for his humor and enjoyment of work. Mr. Brown touched the life of everyone he came in contact with.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Ruby N. Brown; a son, Paul Brown; and a brother, Merdick Brown.
