Daughter of Philip and Emily (Hawkins) Shanholtzer. Born August 12, 1834, at Slanesville, Virginia, and died February 22, 1904. She lived entire lifetime in Hampshire County. Married Azariah Wolford, son of Jacob and Catherine (Grapes) Wolford, July 20, 1853. Azariah was skilled with cabinetmaking and woodworking.
There is a small stream which flows through the Azariah Wolford property, referred to on maps as Wolford's Run. Nancy Jane, Azariah, and two of their children were buried in a cemetery on the old farm, in unmarked graves. Member Episcopal Church. Residence: Cold Stream, West Virginia.
