Mrs. Jackson passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2013, in Tyler. She was born Feb. 1, 1946, in Maryville, Tenn., to the late John Thomas and Nellie Marie Swope Morton. She graduated from Furr High School in Houston. She was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi social sorority, The American Business Women's Association and enjoyed volunteering for Children's Miracle Network and Muscular Dystrophy Association Telethon and The Salvation Army Women's Auxiliary. She retired after 22 years with the Social Security Administration and was a member of First Christian Church in Tyler.
Priscilla was the devoted wife of retired Air Force Senior Master Sgt. Lynn Jackson. They loved to travel and she was an avid collector of antiques and dolls. She enjoyed hosting parties, and enjoyed creative craft hobbies and loved to cook for family and friends especially making Christmas cookies, and making new friends. She especially loved playing with her grandchildren. During her lifetime she lived in Belgium, England, North Dakota, Louisiana and various other states while her husband was in active duty.
She is survived by her loving family: her husband, Lynn Royce Jackson, of Tyler; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Troy Lynn and Cindy Jackson, of Whitehouse, and Randy Lynn Jackson, of Bullard; a daughter, Amy Michelle Jackson, of Tyler; brothers, Carl Luther Morton and Daniel Lee Morton, of Houston, and Thomas Edward Morton, of Crosby; a sister and brother-in-law, Carolyn Jean and Chester Madden, of Mansfield; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Troy Jackson, Randy Jackson, Aaron Jackson, Donald Chrisner, Shawn Sexton and Chester Madden. Honorary pallbearers are Daniel Morton, Thomas Morton, Carl Morton, Eric Sexton and David Chrisner.
The Jackson family wishes to extend a heartfelt thanks to her many friends at the Social Security Administration and The Hospice of East Texas Foundation for the compassionate and comforting care given to her during her struggle with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis.
