OLD-TIME RESIDENT OF WEST DIES HERE
Death yesterday claimed Mrs. Eleanor M. Kellogg, 85, a pioneer of the West and a resident of Butte the past 38 years. She died at her home, 69 West Aluminum street.
She had lived in the West for more than 63 year, a great part of that time in this state. Born in Vermont, she came to Colorado in 1872 and first lived at Denver. Following her marriage in that city, she and her husband moved to Montana.
They made their home in Helena for a time and 38 years ago came to Butte, where she had lived since. She was a member of the Ladies of the G.A.R.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Fannie Reese and Miss Alice Kellogg of Butte; a grandson, G. R. Rees of Billings and two brothers, Morris Marshall of Woodstick, Vt., and William Marshall of Chelsmaford, Mass.
The body is at the Sherman & Reed mortuary. Time and place of funeral will be announced later.

Rev. E. J. Groeneveld officiated this afternoon at the Sherman & Reed mortuary at funeral services for Mrs. Eleanor Kellogg, early-day western settler. Burial was in the G.A.R. plot in Mount Moriah cemetery.
Members of the Ladies of the G.A.R. attended the services. Mrs. Kellogg resided at 69 West Aluminum street. She died Wednesday.
Miss Cora Williams, accompanied by Mrs. Paul Bailor, sang "No Night There," "Lead Kindly Light" and "Abide With Me." Frank Babich, Sam Zohily, Ronald Seymour, Wilbur Gray, Tommy Powers and Timothy McCarthy were pallbearers.

Gravesite Details
Eleanor was the wife of Lyman E. Kellogg and it is assumed that she was buried in the GAR Plot for that reason; however, they are not buried together.
