At Alfred Center, N. Y., May 13th, 1869, after a brief illness, Mr. Thomas T. Burdick, in the 72d year of his age. Bro. Burdick had been one of the most devoted and worthy members of the First Seventh-day Baptist Church of Alfred. Although his death was sudden, it did not take him by surprise, nor was he in the least dismayed, as among his very last words were these, "I am not afraid to die."
