ATHENS TX (KEATCHIE, LA) - Lucy Grace Hassell Adams Smith, 95, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, January 10, 2007 in Athens, TX. Funeral Services will be Sunday, January 14, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at Keatchie Baptist Church in Keatchie, LA with Bro. Duncan and Bro. Scott officiating. Interment will follow at Keatchie Cemetery.

Mrs. Smith was born November 16, 1911 in Keatchie, LA, where she was raised and lived all of her life. She was a lifetime member of Keatchie Baptist Church where she faithfully worshipped. She loved and supported her church and Sunday School. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother, aunt, and friend. Mrs. Smith lived a life of service and sharing, with her many beloved family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Mary Frances Hassell; brothers and sisters, Bryan Hassell, Leslie Hassell, Frances Thompson, Ruth Fair, Jewel Beard and Faia Hebert.

She is survived by her husband, Frank Vernon Smith of Keatchie, LA; daughters, Agatha Adams Warren of Athens, TX and Phyllis Smith Nickels of Shreveport, LA; granddaughters and grandsons Kathleen and Bill Brown of Palestine, TX, Cecile and Frank Richardson of Lake Jackson, TX, Raye Anne and Richard Cox of Celina TX, Ernest Warren of Athens, TX, Glenn Wayne and Vicki Warren of Athens, Tx and Grace Nickels of Shreveport, LA; great-granddaughters and great-grandsons Kristin and Jonathan Ryal of Tyler, TX, Eric Warren and Amy Scott of Athens, TX, Jonathan Kelly of College Station, TX, Jamie Cox and Fiance` Brandon Gillespy of The Colony, TX, Adam and Amber Warren of Seven points, TX and Amanda Richardson of Lake Jackson, TX, great-great granddaughter, Baley Paige Warren of Athens, Tx and numerous other family members and friends.

Pallbearers include her Great Grandsons, D.J. Monday, Rex Clinkenbeard and Travis Whitfield.

The family will receive friends from 6p.m.-8p.m. on Saturday, January 13, 2007 at Rose-Neath Southside Funeral Home in Shreveport, LA.
