CHICKAMAUGA Ashley Yvonne King, 24, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, March 8, 2012. She was a lifelong resident of the North Georgia area and was a member of Garretts Chapel Baptist Church, where she gave her life to the Lord at a very early age. She had attended Ridgeland High School and was a loving daughter, sister, wife and mother, who will be greatly missed by all that knew her. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Charles King.
Survivors include her husband, James Robert Brookshire Sr., of Walker County, Ga.; parents, Steve and Sherry King; sons, James Robert Brookshire Jr. and Braxton Joe Brookshire; sisters, Tiffany King and Renae King, all of Chickamauga; grandparents, James and Ruth Springfield, of Trenton, Ga., and Ann King, of Whitwell, Tenn.; nephews, Carson Bell and Josh Brookshire; and nieces, Erika Smith and Bailee Smith.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Monday, March 12, 2012, in the Fort Oglethorpe Chapel with the Rev. David Harris officiating.Burial will follow in Chattanooga Valley Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will begin receiving friends after 3 p.m. Sunday and prior to the service on Monday at the funeral home.Arrangements by W.L. Wilson & Sons Funeral Homes, Fort Oglethorpe.
