A native of Madison, Arkansas she was a lifelong resident of the Beaumont/Bevil Oaks area. Evelyn was born March 13, 1924 to Andrew and Ophilia Collins Ham who preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death was her husband Jessie, and her son Hugh Beasley.
Mrs. Beasley enjoyed gardening and used those skills to produce her beautiful back yard. She was a member of TOPPS, loved bowling, crocheting, and overall loved being around her church friends and even was known to be their chauffer to their various appointments. Mr. and Mrs. Beasley were founding and charter members of The First Baptist Church of Bevil Oaks actually having the first meeting of the beginning of the church held in their home.
Surviving Evelyn are her sons Craig Beasley and his wife Faye, Harvey Beasley and his wife Donna; eight grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren.
Burial: Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont, Texas.
