Marie Turner Hunter, 87, a real estate property owner and manager, died Monday, August 26 at Central Baptist Hospital.
Born in Woodford County, she was a daughter of the late Reuben H. and Myrtle Delila McAllister Turner. Marie was a long time member of Woodford Community Christian Church, former employee of Suburban Sports Wear in Frankfort, and former Texas Instruments supervisor. She was a former member and Woman of the Year of the Frankfort Woman's Club.
Survivors include three daughters, Donna Bobbitt and Patsy Bobbitt of Versailles, Mary Delila Mahan of Georgetown, a son, Tony (Judy) Bobbitt of Versailles, two brothers, William Turner of Florida, Reuben H. (Ginny) Turner of Paris, six grandchildren, four step grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and five great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Thelma Clifton, two brothers, Forrest Turner Sr. and Elmer Turner, and two grandchildren, Linda Witman and Kristy Southworth.
Visitation is 5:00 to 8:00 pm, Thursday, August 29 at Blackburn & Ward Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m., Friday, August 30 with Rev. Ron Camblin and Rev. Randy Nation officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Brandon Bobbitt, Scott Bobbitt, Danny Way, Jerry Slone, Bill Witman, and Johnny Ferguson.
Memorials are suggested to American Cancer Society, American Diabetes Association, or a charity of choice.
