Mrs. Gladys Ruth Miller Greene, 81, passed away Friday, August 30, 2013 at her home. Mrs. Greene was born November 11, 1931 in Watauga County to Oscar and Ruth Tester Miller. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Greene was preceded in death by a son, Allen Greene; a daughter, Deborah Couch; brother, Dean Miller; sister, Virginia Burnett. She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Ernest Lewis Greene; two daughters, Rita (Danny) Shore and Anita Hauser; four grandchildren, Steven (Sandy) Couch, Michael (Sarah) Hauser, Derek Shore, and Jason (Samantha) Shore; three great grandchildren, Samantha Couch, Avery Couch, and Thad Shore; two step great grandchildren, Donnie & Amber; and one brother, Billy Miller. The family will receive friends Saturday, August 31, 2013 from 6:00 to 8:00PM at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 1, 2013 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Zionville, NC by the Rev. Allen Perry.
