Funeral services for Willie Frank "Moe" Young, 72 will be Wednesday, September 4, 2013 at Bistineau Baptist Church in Heflin with Rev. Mike Welch officiating and music by Roy Powel. Interment will follow at 1:00PM Wednesday in Hamilton Cemetery, Dubach under the direction of Owens Memorial Chapel of Ruston. Mr. Lang was born and raised in DeKalb, MS, and died Thursday, August 29, 2013 at his home from a brief illness. Mr. Lang is preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Beatrice Lang; Sisters, Ruby Weaver and Mary Alice Stuart; Brothers, C.J. Lang, James Lang and Gilbert Ray Lang. He attended Bistineau Baptist Church for many years. At the age of 8 years old he taught himself to play guitar by ear, then over the years many other instruments. He worked for W.J. Thomas Construction Co. in Dallas, TX, as a foundation foreman building highline towers across the country. Before retirement he also worked as a service manager for a heating/AC company in Dallas. He and his wife built two homes in Tx before moving to Heflin and building two more homes. He enjoyed working with his hands and loved to make wooden objects and work in his yard and gardening. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Phyllis Lang of Heflin; Stepson, Gerald Trull and wife Misty, their children, Julia and Maggie, all of Dubach; Sisters, Loraine Mosely of Collinsville, MS, Leona Smith of Meridian, MS and Louise Smith of Delight, AR; Nieces, Daphne Baker and husband Richard of Decatur, AL, Melia Fuller, Deborah Rowell, Edna Kilgore and Sherry Bateman all of Meridian, MS, Linda Leighow of Collinsville, MS and Grace King of DeKalb, MS. Pallbearers will be Gerald Trull, Mike Powell, James Roy Powel, Bill Morrow, Kris Gos and Jeff Merritt. Visitation will be Tuesday, September 3, 2013 for 5PM until 7PM at Bistineau Baptist Church in Heflin.
