While growing up, he was involved in the operation of his family's farm. He was a farmer at hear. Paul served in the weather service of the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. After the war, he returned home to farm, until moving to Kansas City, where he met his beloved wife, Ada Bowman. They were married September 3, 1965.
Paul was devoted to family--always interested in the well-being of his wife, the lives of his children and grandchildren.
Paul retired from General Motors, Fairfax in 1993. He prepared income taxes in his own business for over 30 years. Paul enjoyed being outdoors--gardening, doing lawn work or just sitting on the porch with family in the evening.
Paul is survived by wife Ada, of the home; sons Kenton (wife Kellie), Channahon IL, and Rodney, Lubbock TX; daughter Janet, Grain Valley MO; grandchildren Eric (wife Hannah), Rachal, Brett and Sarah; sister Rosemary Dodd.
He was preceded in death by his parents Luella Jewell Beasley and Perry Evan Ayers; sister Edna Ayers; brothers Orvan and James.
Visitation will be 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Monday, September 2, 2013 at Royer Funeral Home, Grain Valley. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 3rd at the funeral home; burial with Military Honors in Blue Springs Cemetery, Blue Springs, Missouri.
