MARION - David A. Shelley, Jr., 66, died Thursday, August 29, 2013.
David was born February 14, 1947 in Florence County, son of Margaret Thomas Shelley and the late David A. Shelley, Sr. He was a member of Gapway Baptist Church. David, an avid fisherman and NASCAR fan, was a graduate of Rains-Centenary High School and had served in the SC National Guard.
Surviving David are his mother, Margaret Thomas Shelley of Rains; a son, David Brian Shelley of Rains; and a sister, Sybil Shelley of Rains.
Gravesides service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, August 31, at Gapway Baptist Church Cemetery, with Rev. Steve Bailey officiating. The services will be directed by Cox-Collins Funeral Home of Mullins.
