Cheryl L. Howard, 56, died Friday, Aug. 30, 2013 at 1:28 a.m. at her residence in Alger.
She was born on Jan. 6, 1957 in Lima to Harvey and Louise (Plummer) Hunsicker and they preceded her in death. On June 18, 1978, she married Henry Howard and he survives in Alger.
Cheryl was the former owner of the Rams Roost in McGuffey for over 12 years. She loved being involved with and watching her granddaughters' sporting activities. She loved the Cincinnati Reds and the Ohio State Buckeyes and also playing cards.
Also surviving is a daughter: Jessica (Haven) Lawrence of Alger; three granddaughters: Tayler, Shalyn, and Audrey Lawrence; four brothers: Harvey (Glenda) Hunsicker of Alger, Kenneth (Barb) Hunsicker of Smyrna, TN, Lewis Hunsicker and Darrell Hunsicker, both of Alger; five sisters: Jean Kratt of Avon Lake, Marsha (Tom) Sprang of Kenton, Lenore Maddox of Florissant, MO, Pat (Kash) Allen of Alger, and Gloria Jean Spurlock of Lansing, MI; and a special nephew who lived with Cheryl and Henry: Kevin Joseph.
She was preceded in death three brothers: Raymond, Russell and Sam Hunsicker; and a sister, Alice Scott.
A funeral service will begin at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2013 at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Alger with Rev. Tex Rowe officiating. Burial will be in Preston Cemetery, Alger.
