Rebekah Jean Blythe was born on 19 June 1904 in Brevard, North Carolina, the daughter of Erwin W. Blythe (1862-1929) and Mary Allen "Allie" Bell Blythe (1874-1967). She was first married to Raymond Loop Glenn (1900-1971) on 3 December 1921 in Hendersonville, NC. They had a son and a daughter. They were divorced sometime around 1927. She worked as a stenographer and a bookkeeper for an insurance company. She was later married to a Mr. Cox (other details unknown). By 1967 she was living in White Plains, New York. She died on 30 March 1971 in White Plains, NY at the age of 66. She was interred at Gillespie Evergreen Cemetery in Brevard, NC.

Brevard—Mrs. Rebecca Blythe Cox, 66, of White Plains, New York, a native of Brevard and a former resident of Raleigh, died unexpectedly Tuesday, March 30, 1971 at her home in White Plains.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Jean Webber and a son, Raymond Glenn Jr., both of White Plains; two sisters, Mrs. John Poteat of Marion, and Mrs. Robert Savage of Raleigh.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in Gillespie-Evergreen Cemetery. The Rev. Daniel McCall will officiate.
Moore Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

BLYTHE—GLENN MARRIAGE
An event of unusual interest occurred in Brevard on December 3, 1921. This was the marriage of Mr. Raymond Glenn and Miss Rebekah Blythe.
Mr. Glenn is one of the prominent business men of Brevard, engaged in the moving picture business here and in other towns. The bride, Miss Rebekah Blythe, is the lovely daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E.W. Blythe. Her happy disposition and many attractive traits of charager enabled her to count her friends by the number of inhabitants of our town.
They were united in marriage by Rev. Mr. Ligon, pastor of the Presbyterian church in Hendersonville. Immediately after the marriage, at the home of the bride's parents, they left on the train for a short visit to points in the south. it is hoped by their many friends that they will make their home in Brevard.
