OBITUARY
HARRY J. ALLEN
DECKERVILLE -- Mr. Harry J. Allen, 86, of 3805 Main St., died unexpectedly Friday, Dec. 31. 1983
in the Deckerville Community Hospital.
He was born May 12, 1896, in Forester Township. He married Daisy Pearson on June 28, 1918
in Deckerville.
Mr. Allen was a life member of the Marion Lodge #392 F&AM and a member of the First Baptist
Church of Deckerville since 1981. He was a former Deckerville clerk.
Mr. Allen owned and operated Harry Allen & Son Creamery and the Deckerville Cement Products for
many years. He also managed the ST&H gasoline station.
He is survived by his wife; three sons, Eugene, Merle and Gerald, all of Deckerville; two sisters, Mrs.
Sadie Lenk and Mrs Maude Hill, both of Deckerville; 10 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; and 2
great great grandchildren .
Services were held in the B.D. Apsey Funeral Home, Deckerville. The Rev. William Shannon of the
First Baptist Church officiated.
Burial was in East Marion Cemetery
