"Dorothea Ensko Wed To Officer In Navy. Wheaton College Alumna Bride of Lieut. Comdr. Vernon C. W Wyle. The marriage of Miss Dorothea Charlotte Ensko, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Ensko of 14 Sutton Place South, to Lieut. Comdr. Vernon Charles Wyle, USNR, son of Charles F. Wyle of Chicago and the late Mrs. Wyle, took place here yesterday afternoon in St. Thomas Episcopal Church. The Rev. Dr. Roelif H. Brooks, rector of the church, performed the ceremony. The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, had Ensign Margo Carroll Boote, USNR, and Miss Alice Elizabeth Ensko, her sister, as honor attendants. The other attendants were Ensign Frances Kearly Lawler, USNR, Mrs. Lester Dow Berger, Mrs. Nelson Gladding Johnson and the Misses Ann Carien Ensko, Margaret Hemphill Wing and Margaret Louis Gallenger. Lieut. James S. Warrington, AUS, was best man. There was a reception at Sherry's. The bride is an alumna of the National Cathedral School in Washington and Wheaton College. She is a great-granddaughter of the late Judge Andrew Bleakley of New York. Mrs Wyle is a member of the English-Speaking Union and the Red Cross Motor Corps. Her husband was graduated from Northwestern University and recently returned from active duty in the South Pacific."

"Dorothea Ensko Wyle Yost, known to all as "Dee," passed away in her sleep at her home in Ocala, Fla. on November 6. Dee will be greatly missed by all who knew her, most especially by her loving husband of 22 years, James L. Yost, her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Dee was born in New York City, where her family ran an antique and reproduction silver business that had been established by her grandfather. Dee attended National Cathedral School in Washington, DC and graduated from Wheaton College in Norton, MA, where she was instrumental in establishing a synchronized swimming team that remains active today. Wed to Vernon C. Wyle in 1944, Dee and Vern raised three sons in Greenwich, CT, where Dee also taught school for 20 years. She and Vern later moved to Kerrville TX, where he passed away in 1986. Dee married James in Kerrville in May 1992. They eventually moved to Shelbyville, TN, then to Ocala. Dee was predeceased by her brother Stephen, her first husband, Vern, their second son Terence and Dee's sister Alice. She is survived by James, her children Stephen, Bruce, Chris and their spouses, 7 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, James' children Stephen and James and their spouses, 8 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren. Dee will be interred in Greenwich, CT at a future date. Messages of condolence may be the left for the family at www.robertsfunderalhomes.com.
